Introduction & Overview

The Omni-Contractions Training System is the training approach Christian has been using with athletes for close to 20 years. And if you know him from his online work you actually have no idea about it! Hardcore fans who have read his books are aware of it because it is briefly explained in “Theory and Application of Modern Strength and Power Methods”, but this is the first first time that the whole system is explained in detail!

It’s based on the concurrent use of eccentric, isometric and concentric methods. Meaning that in each training phase all three are emphasized and the methods evolve from phase to phase to maximize performance. This is a lot more effective than including one type of action only in 1-2 phases because each contraction type has a different muscle recruitment pattern that can be lost if you do not keep training it.

This system is the best way to develop maximal strength and power for an athlete while reducing the risk of injuries. And it can even be used with body composition clients as this is how I now train these people.

  • How long will it take me to go through the Course?

    Once you have purchased your online course, you will be granted access to our learning management system, including all videos which you can go through at your own pace. You can expect to take approximately 3 hours to complete the course.

    You can always refer yourself to your handbook (This is a PDF of the essential part of the course) or the  “manual” which is the online course notes available once you have logged into your account.

  • What is the difficulty level of the course?

    It does cover some advanced science so you will need at least a basic understanding of training and physiology. Even though Coach Thibaudeau is great at simplifying complex topics, coaches with some experience in the trenches will benefit the most from the course.

  • Is it mandatory to do OCTS 1 and 2  before this one?

    We highly recommend, at least, doing course #1 and #2 before this one. However, this is not mandatory
